Silver 2011 Guadalajara 200 m breaststroke Christopher Clark Burckle, Jr. (born February 23, 1988) is an American college and international swimmer. He was a finalist in the 200 m breaststroke and 400 m individual medley at the 2008 US Olympic Trials. Burckle was a member of the 2008-09 USA Swimming National Team.
Burckle was born in Louisville, Kentucky.
Burckle initially attended the University of Florida in Gainesville, Florida, where he swam for coach Gregg Troy's Florida Gators swimming and diving team. For his senior year, he transferred to the University of Arizona in Tucson, Arizona, where he swam for the Arizona Wildcats swimming team. Burckle won the NCAA championship in the 200-yard breaststroke while.[2] He is the younger brother of Olympic bronze medalist Caroline Burckle, who also swam for Florida.
