* AD 2064Lunar Revolt against Earth in the Sol System.
* September 30th, AD 2102, (2103, 1 p.d.)The Diaspora (Humanity's expansion throughout the galaxy) begins as "Prometheus", the first manned (albeit generational) interstellar ship departs the Solar System. The era of sublight colonization begins.
* 1st Century p.d.The first extrasolar colony, Beowulf, is founded in the Sigma Draconis system.
* 2302 AD (c. 200 p.d.)Lao Than develops a vaccine against lung cancer.
* 2354 AD (252 p.d.)The Earth's economy is devastated by the so-called "Economic Winter of 252".
* 2407 AD (305 p.d.)Doctor Cadwaller Pineau of Tulane University bypasses the crystallization problem to provide practical, long-term cryogenic hibernation. The era of sublight cryogenic colonization begins.
* 4th Century p.d.First starships equipped with practical cryogenics are used for colony missions.
* 2416 AD (314 p.d.)Reverend Austin Grayson, founder of the Church of Humanity Unchained, leads thousands of followers on board a cryo-ship to settle a planet in the Yeltsin's Star System.
* 2664 AD (562 p.d.)The astronomer Sir Frederick Clarke confirms the existence of habitable planets orbiting the Manticore binary star system.
* 725 p.d.The first hyperdrive is tested at Sol System, increasing exploration capabilities. Due to the enormous risks inherent in using hyperdrives, colonists continue to use cryogenic ships until the development of the Warshawski Sail.
* 2833 AD (731 p.d.)The development of the hyper log marks a major step in interstellar travel as it helps ships to navigate in hyperspace and reduce the risk of getting lost.
* 2876 AD (774 p.d.)The Manticore Colony, Ltd. corporation places the highest bid for colonization of the Manticore System, acquiring all the data collected by the firm of Franchot et Fils during their survey of the system.
* October 24, 775 p.d. (AD 2877.) The sublight colony ship "Jason" leaves the Sol System with 38,000 adults and 13,000 children on board for a 640-year sublight voyage to the Manticore System. The Manticore Colony Trust is established at Zurich to guard the colonists' interests and rights over Manticore on Earth.
* 925 p.d. (3027 AD.)The Solarian League is founded. Within time, the League will grow to encompass almost every colony in a light-century radius of Earth.
* (before 943 p.d.) The Final War begins on Earth. This war goes on to devastate the planet by the reckless use of bioweapons and genetically-engineered "super soldiers" (aka Skrags).
* 943 p.d. (3045 AD.)The Final War officially ends. The reconstruction of Earth begins with assistance of the Solarian League.
* 988 p.d. (AD 3090.)Austin Grayson and his followers arrive at the single habitable planet of the Yeltsin System. The planet's extreme environmental conditions force the Church of Humanity Unchained to revise its doctrine on technology. This begins a dangerous rift between moderate and fundamentalist elements within the Grayson society.
* 998 p.d.Austin Grayson dies. In his memory, his followers name their planet Grayson.
* 1246 p.d. (3348 AD.)The first phased array gravity drive, or "impeller drive", is created by scientists on Beowulf, followed soon thereafter by sidewall generators.
* 1273 p.d. (3375 AD.)
Adrienne Warshawski develops the first grav scanners and "alpha nodes". The tests conducted by Warshawski onboard the experimental ship "Fleetwing" result in viable grav wave detectors and the so-called "Warshawski sails", revolutionizing hyper space travel by making higher hyper bands viable mediums of travel (by overcoming the dangers of grav shear).
* Sep 9, 1284 p.d. (AD 3386).Captain Melissa Andropov leads "Icarus", the first hyper capable colony ship, out of the Solar System. This is marked as the end of the era of sublight colonization.
* c. 1290 p.d. (AD 3392).Within fifty years of the creation of sidewalls, grav penetrators are developed for missiles, beginning a military cycle to break through sidewalls and defend against such breaks.
* June 1309 p.d. (AD 3411).The first colonists arrive at the Haven System.
* c. 1350 p.d. (AD 3452).An attempted coup by a fundamentalist faction results in the near elimination of the Grayson government. The Grayson Civil War between the "Faithful" led by Steadholders Bancroft, Oswald and Simonds and the "Moderates" led by Benjamin Mayhew begins. The war ends thanks to the efforts of Barbara Bancroft, wife of Steadholder Bancroft. Under the terms of the peace treaty, 47,000 members of the "Faithful" are exiled to the nearby Endicott System, where they would establish the colony of Masada. This begins a 600-year long cycle of cold and hot wars between Grayson and Masada.
* 1384 p.d. (AD 3486).Physicist Shigematsu Radhakrishnan invents the inertial compensator, which allows a ship to accelerate to near 550 "g" under impeller or up to 5,000 "g" under sail without risk to the crew.
* c. 1400 p.d. (AD 3502).The first practical countergravity generator is developed by the Anderson Shipbuilding Corporation in New Glasgow, rendering older forms of on-planet transportation obsolete overnight.
* 1410 p.d. (AD 3512).The "Epsilon Eridani Massacre"; a planetary bombardment which results in the death of seven billion inhabitants of Epsilon Eridani, leads to the adoption and enactment of the Eridani Edict by the Solarian League. The Eridani Edict prohibits mass planetary bombardments with nuclear or kinetic weapons under penalty of loss of sovereignty.
* March 21, 1416 p.d. (AD 3518).The "Jason" arrives at the Manticore System and is greeted by four frigates of the Manticore Colony Trust which guard the system from claim-jumpers. The colonists find a minimal settlement established by the Manticore Colony Trust on Manticore A-III (henceforth known as the planet Manticore) in preparation for the colonists' arrival. MCT personnel begin to train the colonists in the technological developments of the last six centuries. 1416 p.d. becomes the Year 1 After Landing (A.L.) in Manticoran time reckoning.
* 1447 p.d. (AD 3549).The first wormhole junction discovered, thanks to mathematical formulae developed by Shigematsu Radhakrishnan a century earlier.
* 1454 p.d. (AD 3556).First cases reported of what would be known as the "Plague of 22 A.L." on Manticore.
* 1465 p.d (AD 3567).The plague is finally stopped but not before wiping out 60 percent of the original colonists. The MCT's solid financial assets on Earth allows the Trust to recruit new colonists to replace the losses.
* August 1, 1471 p.d. (AD 3573).The Star Kingdom of Manticore is born in a vast constitutional reform aimed at protecting the prerogatives of Manticore's surviving original colonists as it opens its doors to immigrants. Roger Winton, Manticore's Planetary Administrator since the first landing, is crowned King Roger I of Manticore.
* 1474 p.d. (AD 3576).King Roger I dies, and is succeeded by his daughter, Queen Elizabeth I. She is credited with giving the Manticoran monarchy real power, preventing aristocratic control over the Star Kingdom of Manticore.
* c. 1475 (AD 3577).Stephanie Harrington forms the first human-treecat bond with Climbs Quickly.
* 1507 p.d. (AD 3609).Michael I is crowned as King of Manticore after the death of Queen Elizabeth I.
* 1509 p.d. (AD 3611).The Royal Manticoran Naval Academy graduates its first senior class.
* 1538 p.d. (AD 3640)Edward I is crowned King of Manticore.
* 1543 p.d. (AD 3645).The last attack registered upon Manticoran territory before the First Havenite War.
* 1544 p.d. (AD 3646).Elizabeth II is crowned Queen of Manticore.
* 1557 p.d. (AD 3659).Commodore Edward Saganami dies defending a convoy against Silesian pirates.
* 1581 p.d. (AD 3683).Dr. Ignatius Peterson develops rotationless artificial gravity for starships. Also, interstellar bulk cargo shipping becomes practical, owing to declining energy costs for various ship systems.
* 1585 p.d. (AD 3687).The Manticore Wormhole Junction is discovered.
* 1601 p.d. (AD 3703).David I is crowned King of Manticore.
* 1642 p.d. (AD 3744).Roger II is crowned King of Manticore.
* 1669 p.d. (AD 3771).Adrienne I is crowned Queen of Manticore.
* 1721 p.d. (AD 3823).The Gryphon Uprising; a violent civil conflict between Gryphon's local nobility and small farmers which challenges the Manticoran monarchy. The monarchy's handling of the conflict earns it the undying loyalty of Gryphon's small farmers - a sentiment matched only by their equally implacable hatred of most other nobles and aristocrats.
* c. 1750 (AD 3852).Warshawski sail technology had improved to the point that hyper ships could sail 'against the wind' on grav waves by producing a negative 'grab factor'.
* 1790 p.d. (AD 3892).Warshawski grav wave detector ranges have reached 20 light seconds. This jumps to 8 light minutes over the next hundred years, which will allow theta band hyperspace travel at the time of the book series.
* 1900 p.d. (AD 4002).The events at Basilisk Station mark the first hostile intentions of the People's Republic of Haven against the Star Kingdom of Manticore. The PRH deny all responsibility.
* 1903 p.d. (AD 4005).The Second Battle of Yeltsin results in Honor Harrington, a Manticoran national and RMN officer, becoming the first female and first non-native Steadholder on Grayson. Once again, PRH involvement, covered by a fig-leaf of 'plausible deniability, is uncovered, but not pressed diplomatically due to Manticoran concerns over the current balance of forces.
* 1905 p.d. (AD 4007).After a series of escalating provocations designed to unbalance the RMN's pre-war dispositions, the PRH begins active operations against the Manticoran Alliance, despite no formal declaration of war.Hereditary President Harris of the People's Republic is assassinated. The Committee of Public Safety seizes power in Nouveau Paris and takes control of the government.

* 1913 p.d. (AD 4015).The first light attack craft carriers (CLACs) are commissioned.

A mass breakout from Hades planetary prison is staged by Honor Harrington and her staff, marking the largest prison break in human history.
* 1914 p.d. (AD 4016).
Oscar Saint-Just becomes Chairman (and for some time sole member) of the Committee of Public Safety after stopping an coup d'etat attempted by admiral Esther McQueen through detonating nuclear bomb hidden under the Octagon, killing McQueen other members of the Committee of Public Safety.
* 1915 p.d. (AD 4017).People's Navy Citizen Admiral Thomas Theisman leads a successful coup against Saint-Just, personally shooting him and paving the way for a restoration of true democracy under the reinstated Constitution of the renamed Republic of Haven. Refusing to serve as President of the new Republic, Theisman instead succeeds McQueen as Secretary of War under President Eloise Pritchart ("Ashes of Victory").

* 1919 p.d. (AD 4021).Hostilities with the Manticoran Alliance reinstated through a misunderstanding resulting from tampering with diplomatic communiques from Manticore ("War of Honor").

* 1921 p.d. (AD 4023).A series of assassinations and attempted assassinations, staged secretly by the Mesan Manpower corporation to frame the Republic of Haven, sabotages efforts by Theisman and Pritchart to arrange a conference to make peace with Queen Elizabeth III and the Manticoran Alliance. This leads to Haven's desperate attempt to end the war by striking directly against the capital of the Star Kingdom of Manticore. The Battle of Manticore, the single largest naval action in human history, ends with estimates of over two million service personnel on both sides killed, ten thousand wounded and almost four hundred thousand POWs ("At All Costs").
