Christianity Lite

Christianity Lite

Christianity Lite is a pejorative phrase used to describe Christian sects, particularly in the US, that are deemed overly secular in character.

Such sects are seen to minimize discussion of traditional religious concepts such as sin, or even in some cases God, and instead focus on 'lighter' themes such as motivation, wealth and happiness. 'Christianity Lite' church buildings are also often more secular in character, avoiding spires, religious statues and pictures, and even to a large extent crucifixes.
