Christian Fraser

Christian Fraser is the BBC's Paris Correspondent, a role he has held since 2010. He appears on many BBC news programmes, including the BBC News at 6, BBC News at 10, Newsnight and on BBC Radio 4's Today and The World Tonight. He has also appeared many times on both the UK's domestic digital TV channel BBC News Channel and on the international satellite TV channel BBC World News.

Education

Fraser was educated at Queen Elizabeth's Grammar School, a co-educational independent school in Blackburn, Lancashire, in the U.K.

Life and career

Fraser was born and raised in Burnley, Lancashire. He was formerly a writer for the Daily Mirror newspaper, and in 2000 he joined BBC Radio 5 Live. He then became a reporter for BBC News, and in 2007 was appointed BBC Rome Correspondent. In 2009 he became BBC Middle East Correspondent, based in Cairo.
