Chris Corradino is an American photographer based in the New York Metropolitan Area. Chris was born in 1976 in New York. He specializes in Nature, Photojournalism, and Multimedia.
Bio
Corradino's assignment work with the Associated Press has been widely published with credits including USA Today,[1] The New Yorker,[2] the Los Angeles Times,[3] the Wall Street Journal[4] and New York Newsday. His nature and wildlife photography has also been featured online with National Geographic.[5]
In 2011 Corradino was named the photography speaker, and study leader aboard the Corinthian II, an educational cruise[6] from the shores of Northern Africa to South America’s Patagonia. The trip was sponsored by Smithsonian Journeys,[7] Harvard University,[8] and Columbia University.[9]
Corradino is a licensed photo teacher with the New York Institute of Photography. Since 2008, he's had an active role in curriculum development, multimedia production, and social media content. He also developed the school's iPhone[10] and Android app.[11]
In 2010, Chris Corradino Photography LLC was featured in Entrepreneur magazine, [12] Career Builder, [13] and ABC News.[14]
In 2009, he worked as the second unit director of photography for the film Hoop Springs Eternal.[15] The documentary was screened at Olympia Film Festival 2009, Coney Island Film Festival 2010, and All Sports Los Angeles Film Festival 2010.[16]
In 2008, Corradino published his first book, From Manhattan to Montauk: A Photographic Journey.[17] He donated all of his earnings from the book to Kiva, an organization that lends money to entrepreneurs in developing countries.[18]
In 2007, Corradino received special recognition for becoming the first five-time recipient of the Wantagh Photography Contest.[19]
