Chris Chantler (born on December 16, 1990 in Cheadle Hulme, Greater Manchester) is an English footballer who plays for Manchester City as a midfielder or defender.

Club career

Manchester City

Chantler first signed on for Manchester City at the age of only seven, after being scouted by former City player and legend Neil Young.[1]

Having graduated from the club's Academy, Chantler had been playing for the Elite Development Squad for two seasons when he made his debut for the first team, coming on as a substitute in the final minutes of the Europa League game against Juventus on 16 December 2010 - a call-up on his 20th birthday, the just under a minute's game time being a celebratory gift from manager Roberto Mancini.[2]
