He is best known for his television series Bondi Vet which began screening in 2009. He is also a regular guest panellist on The Project.
Brown grew up in the suburbs of Newcastle where his father was the local vet. He graduated from Sydney University with First Class Honours in 2001[1] and began work at a clinic in Sydney's North Shore. During this time he travelled to remote Aboriginal communities in the Northern Territory to help improve the health of animals. [2]
Brown began his first television presenting role as a vet on Harry's Practice in 2003 and was nominated for a "Most Popular New Talent" Logie Award for his work there. He became a presenter on Channel Nine’s Burke's Backyard in 2004 and made regular appearances on Today. His first book The Family Guide to Pets was released in 2005 and sold over 25,000 copies.
In 2008, he began Bondi Vet on Network Ten, a factual television program that chronicles his life and work at a veterinary clinic at Bondi Junction. Chris also began writing a column called "Pet Page" in Woman’s Day magazine and is interviewed on radio stations Triple M and Vega FM.
In 2010, Brown became a regular guest panellist on the Network Ten's talk show The Project. He has also filled in for Charlie Pickering on The Project.
