Brian and his wife, the former Nina Sisselman,[1] live in NYC with their son.

Brian attended The Trinity School, on the upper West side of Manhattan, graduated from The Avon Old Farms School, located in Avon, CT.
Brian graduated from Duke University with a Bachelor of Arts in political science. He is a member of the Sigma Alpha Epsilon Fraternity. Brian serves on the Duke University Young Alumni Development Council is also a member of the University’s alumni fundraising committee.

Brian is the President and CEO of Comtex News Network, Inc.,[2] which provides real-time news, Comtex SmarTrend market products, and economically useful information. Comtex customers receive select content from key sources, which is further enhanced with stock tickers and an extended lexicon of relevant terms. With a specialization in the financial news and content marketplace, Comtex receives, enhances, combines and filters news and content received from national and international news bureaus, agencies and publications, and distributes more than one million total stories per day, via CustomWires [3] and other news and information products. Comtex’s state-of-the-art technology delivers this relevant content and reliable service in real-time.
Recently, Comtex launched a new product line developed by Brian: the proprietary trend trading alert system, SmarTrend.[3] Brian has authored widely published articles about trend trading,[4] and currently writes a column regarding industry group trends identified by his trend trading system.[5]
Brian created the diverse offering of products which include a daily stock market letter (Morning Call), selected stock news and market analysis generated by the SmarTrend Analytics Group, the SmarTrend Video Channel, and its flagship product SmarTrend Alerts. Comtex has offices in New York City; Boston, Massachusetts; and Alexandria, Virginia.
Brian joined Comtex in April 2004 as Vice President, Operations; was appointed President and Chief Operating officer in May 2005; and named CEO in November 2006 . Brian has extensive experience in providing vision, operating management, and technology solutions to companies in the financial services industry. Prior to Comtex, Brian held management positions with Nyfix Incorporated,[6] Bank of New York, and HotJobs.com, a Yahoo company.
Brian also operates several diverse businesses in and around the New York City area, and from 2009 to 2010, served on the Board of Directors of PastFuture, Inc., the parent company of the innovative technology and social media website, GDGT.com.[7]
Charities & Non-Profit
Brian serves as the Chairman of the Annual Sporting Clays Shoot for the Boy Scouts of America Greater New York Council, where he also serves on the Board of Directors. Additionally, Brian is a member of the Trinity School Alumni Giving Board, and has generously contributed time to the fundraising committees of the New York Blood-center, the Grosvenor House Benefit Committee and the Young Alumni Development Council of Duke University.
