Chinyali Sour

Chinyali sour is a small town in Uttarkashi district in the Indian state of Uttarakhand.It is semi urban settlement.It is named after a nearby village called Chinyali.'Saur' is the Garhwali word for "plain" area.Chinyali sour surrounded by the small mountains, on the banks of the river Bhagirathi. It is located on the way of the Gangotri.

It is around 70 kilometres away from Chamba and Uttarkashi District headquarter is 37 Kilometers from here.here is one intermediate college,degree college, tehsil headquarter.population is near about 15000.The main occupation of the people is agriculture based .Headquarter of Maneribhali power project is also here.Lake formed due to Tehri power project is also cover some area of this town.
