Fa biu

The fa biu is a concealed throwing weapon, Chinese in origin, which is often referred to by some martial arts teachers as the precursor to the Japanese shuriken. The practice of the fa biu is not unlike that of the shuriken, but differs in that the fa biu's construction may be as innocuous as a butterfly paperweight, allowing it to pass undetected by authorities.
