Career

Chibwe was one of the Zambians who came to RoPS at 2007.[1] He came along with Nchimunya Mweetwa, Chanda Mwaba, Stephen Kunda and Zeddy Saileti's younger brother Derik Saileti for a trial. Quintet (Mweetwa, Kunda, Chibwe, Mwaba) got contract's with RoPS. Later he has extended it to 2012. At season 2007, Chibwe played 23 games and scored four times in Finnish second level, Ykkönen. After the season RoPS won promotion to Veikkausliiga (Finnish Premier Division).

Chibwe finished RoPS's top goalscorer along with Saileti and Titi Essomba in Veikkausliiga season 2008, scoring five goals and providing three assists. He was one of the most important players during the season when RoPS finished 10th in Veikkausliiga.[2] At the autumn 2008 he had some injury worries but he was recovered and he played 24 games, scoring two goals and providing two assists in 2009. During the current season, Chibwe scored nine goals and provided one assist, before succumbing to knee injury requiring surgery, effectively ending his season.[3]

Chibwe and eight other RoPS players got sacked in the spring of 2011 due to match fixing scandal.[4]
