Chicagoblok

The Chicagoblok (Also known as the Europark) is a block of flats in the district of Linkeroever, Antwerp^[1][2][3][4].

History

The Chicagoblok was built during the 1970s and houses over 6000 people of many different ethnicities within its 27 floors. Although the Chicagoblok had an infamous reputation of illegal dumping, crime, clash between the different nationalities of residents, It has become a tourist attraction as a symbol of problems with social housing as well as an area for public events^[5].
