Background
Chicago Chorale, a 60-voice ensemble of volunteer singers, performs repertoire from the sixteenth century to the present day.[1]
Performances
November 1 and 2, 2008. Chicago Chorale performed J.S. Bach's Motet Komm, Jesu, Komm, Ralph Vaughan Williams' Mass in G Minor, and Arnold Schoenberg's Friede auf Erden.
April 4, 2009 and May 2, 2009: Sergei Rachmaninov's Vespers
Chicago Chorale has performed John Williams music from the Star Wars trilogy under Erich Kunzel at Ravinia in 2008.[2] The group performed Bach's St. Matthew's Passion in 2008.[3]
Membership
There are 60 performers split evenly into four voice parts. Members pay $100 annual dues.[4]
