Valenciennes, 1836Cirripectes castaneus is a species of combtooth blenny found in coral reefs in the western Pacific and Indian oceans.[1] It was first named by Achille Valenciennes in 1836,[1] and is commonly known as the Chestnut eye-lash blenny, Chestnut blenny, or the Muzzled rockskipper.[2]
