Chen Chung-hwan (1905-1992, 陳忠寰, autonym 陳康, Pinyin:Chen Kang), was a philosopher, scholar in ancient greek philosophy and western philosophy.
Chen Chung-hwan attended National Southeastern University (renamed National Central University in 1928) in 1925 and graduated from the Department of Philosophy of National Central University (later renamed Nanjing University in mainland China and reinstated in Taiwan) in 1929. In 1930, he studied at the University of London, then at Berlin University, under professors Werner Jaeger, Nicolai Hartmann and Julius Stenzel, and received his doctorate in 1940.[1]
His works include Das Chorismos-Problem bei Aristoteles, On the Parmenides of Plato, and Sophia, The Science Aristotle Sought.
