Chaudhry Abdul Rahim

Abdul Rahim, Chaudhri was a politician from village Maingri, Tehsil Shakargarh and district Narowal. Chaudhry remain member of First Punjab Legislative Assembly from April 5, 1937 to March 19, 1945,[1] then in Second Punjab Legislative Assembly May 7, 1951 to October 14, 1955.[2] Provincial Assembly of West Pakistan Fifth Assembly (June 9, 1962 to June 8, 1965).[3]

Chaudhry was given the title of Khan Bahdur by British Rule. Chaudhry's son Chaudhry Idrees Taj remained member of Majlis-e-Shura in Zia-ul-Haq Cabinet, his another son Chaudhry Ishfaq Taj remained Member of National Assembly NA-91 for two terms first from 1990–1993 and second from 1993-1997.[4]

Saqib Idrees Taj son of Chaudhry Idrees Taj and grandson of Chaudhry Abdul Rahim is now into the politics and he holds a position in Central Executive Committee of Pakistan Tehreek e Insaf.[5]
