Mixed martial arts career
A professional MMA competitor since 2007, Hinton fought in Ohio based promotions.
Recently Hinton signed with Bellator Fighting Championships and competed in the first round of their second season lightweight tournament.[1] He was eliminated by Roger Huerta at Bellator 13.[2]
Hinton received another fight for the Bellator promotion at Bellator 23. He fought up and coming Daniel Straus, losing via decision. After the second straight loss, Hinton announced his retirement from the sport. He came back from retirement in April 2011 with a win over Harry Johnson via submission in the very first round. He is scheduled to fight 9-5 Israeli Ido Pariente on April 23, 2011
