César Ramírez (born Havana, Cuba 1962) is a Cuban Master Cigar Roller (torcedor) who is has been celebrated in local and international press for his Cuban cigar technique. He currently resides in Las Vegas, Nevada, where he does cigar rolling performances and owns and manages Hidalgo Cigars. He produces a high-end line of signature Cuban-style Cigars called Bariay 1492, with a blend of regional tobaccos that is designed to be the closest taste to real Cuban cigars.
Ramirez has been involved in the Cigar World since the age of 13, when he worked in the Havana tobacco fields.
At age 18 years old, Ramirez began developing his master technique in some of the most renowned cigar factories in Havana, such as Romeo and Juliet, H. Upman, and Partagas, where he showed early precision and excellence with his cigar skills.
In 1994, at age 32, Ramirez crossed the ocean from Cuba on a raft which landed in Miami, Florida. He decided to relocate to Las Vegas, NV, and began work for the Don Pablo Cigar factory and Las Vegas Cigar Factory. There he honed and polished his cigar skills to become a Master Cigar Roller.
