The race is rated at multi-day 6 stage race. The tour commence from Tabriz city, largest city of Iranian Azerbaijan and after pathing through Urmia lake, Urmia, Jolfa and Kaleybar it finish at Tabriz. It was established on 1986 by Asghar Khodayari and Akbar Goharkhani. Recently tour part of the tour is held in Nakhchivan, part of Republic of Azerbaijan.
