- Hindukush White-Robed Kafir people
White-Robed (Sfed-Posh) or Red-Robed (Lal-Posh) Kafirs were blanket names for usually three
clans , namely:# Kalasha (of former
Kafiristan ) or Wai
# Askunu or Ashkun
# Vasi or PrasunIt is assumed, that the Vasi (Prasun) Kafirs were the originally inhabitants of
Kafiristan (presentNuristan ); and sometimes they also become added to the Sfed-Posh Kafir. These appellations were based on the traditional colors of their raiments. Some authors, such as George Scott Robertson, consider this classification inconvenient and unscientific, and keep the three groups separate, on the same level as the Black-Robed (Siah-Posh) Kafirs.
