Pictures?KY 2857 is a state maintained route that is primarily a North-South route in Oldham County, KY. It begins at its Northern terminus via New Moody Road. From there in encircles a suburban neighborhood, (Borowick Farms). It then continues three miles and terminates at KY 2856. KY 2856 is used to connect KY 393 to KY 53 in Oldham County, KY. It is rather a short route and has no motor carrier's restrictions as far as weight limits and low clearences. Drivers should be aware that there are extremely sharp turns and shoulder drop offs. It is two lane its entire stretch.
*There are no low clearences or weight limits on KY 2856 either, but aforementioned, drivers need to use caution on several sharp turns and poorly maintained tree trimming on the shoulder.
It is not a commonly used commercial motor vehicle route, but it can be utilized as a shorter route if one is travelling from Shelbyville, KY to Buckner, KY. Speed limit is 35mph for it's entirety.
