Warren Tonkinson

Warren Tonkinson

Captain Warren Tonkinson is a pilot for British Airways and famed for being the fleet manager and general division manager for the Boeing 747 and the Airbus A320.

He has been at British Airways for 30 years and has seen many changes within the airline. Before flying the 747-400, Tonkinson flew Concorde for 17 years. He worked as a Concorde Pilot and briefly as the Concorde Operations Manager.

Tonkinson piloted of one of the final flights from New York, with a cabin full of celebrities he said that it was one of the highlights of his career.

He worked for the Royal Air Force before converting to commercial.

Tonkinson lives in the Buckinghamshire area of England and has three children. He is currently working on the Boeing 747-400 and the Airbus A321.

A380

When the Airbus A380 is released at British Airways, Tonkinson is said to be taking on his biggest role yet, Chief Pilot and Operations Manager of the Airbus A380.
