French-Swiss relations

French-Swiss relations are foreign relations between France and Switzerland. Both countries established direct diplomatic relations in 1430, and they became permanent in 1522. France has an embassy in Berne and 2 general consulates (in Geneva and Zürich). Switzerland has an embassy in Paris and 4 general consulates (in Bordeaux, Lyon, Marseille ans Strasbourg).Both countries shares 573 km of common borders and both are full members of the Francophonie.
