The Michigan Journal of History is a student-run organization whose primary purpose is to publish a journal of historical scholarship. The journal is completely staffed by students who make all editorial and organizational decisions for the journal with the backing and support of the History department at the University of Michigan. The journal is an undergraduate publication, whose papers and essays come entirely from the University of Michigan student body. In order to reflect the diversity of both student interests and historical study at the University of Michigan, the journal accepts submissions from all topics of historical research and analysis.
