Achilles Magalhães is a fictional character from the telenovela Os Mutantes - Caminhos do Coração. He is a mutant with power of superhuman speed and accelerated healing abilities. He seen to be inspired in both DC Comics Wally West and Marvel Comics Quicksilver but several details about himself are more shared with the latter since both them care for their little sisters.

Personality

Achilles dedicated himself in battling the evil and protect the people who are good. He doesn't have problem with fact he is mutant and he will never use his powers to hurt people. When he is brainwashed by the Reptilian and recover his real-self, he pretended to be under mental control to spy on them.

Powers and abilities

Achilles primary power is his superhuman speed he can run so fast everything around become slow-motion. Its calculated he run (at his body's peak) 500 mph. He can defies gravity and even run under water. Achilles secondary mutation is his regeneration, linked to his accelerated metabolism his wounds heals instantly than a normal human can. He survived being shot, burned, impaled, hit by mental release and shot in the head by a Martian death beam. However his healing powers are not flawless as his only weakness lies in his heels. He was very wounded in the heels by the werecat villain Felid and barely survive.
