Australia nnetball player, who currently plays for theChallenge Stadium Bullets (in conjunction with the Perth Bullets); one of the eight teams who participate in the [WA Smokefree State Netball League] .Biography
With formation of the
West Coast Fever (formerly the Oriels) Team, which represents WA in the National Netball League, Challenge Stadium Bullets players form a large portion of the WCF squad members. The original 1997Orioles team,Challenge Stadium Bullets had 7 members in the team, and Challenge Stadium Bullets still have 2 members in the current Squad, Gradwell being tipped to sign a contact with the Fever in the 2009 netball season.
Her dominance in the ring have also gained her an offer for a position playing for theCanberra Darters at theAustralian Institute of Sport .
Gradwell is the younger sister ofAdelaide Thunderbirds star shooterKristen Hughes ,who was selected in theAustralian 21U Squad in 1999 while playing with theAdelaide Ravens . Hughes was also a member of theAustralian Netball Team (2004).
Jasmine is twin sister of fellow Bullet teammateRachel Gradwell , who similarly plays goal shooting positions.
Born into a family of four girls, Gradwell grew up in theMelbourne suburb ofSt Kilda , moving toPerth ,Western Australia in 2007 to persue her netball career.
Gradwell's 2007 season set her up for a successful future, being awarded bothFairest and Best for her local club, and winning theBowerman Medallion in the"Australian Under 17's squad" national exhibition match, which she shot with an accuracy of 91%.
Gradwell was a also a member of the2008 State Squad (18's) , and received 45 minutes gametime in a match agaistSydney , NSW, scoring 53 goals for the WA side, leading the squad to a 91-63 victory. (awarded best on court).Gradwell has also been linked to several
AFL football players, and attended the 2008Brownlow Medal Count withCollingwood 'sAlan Didak (who is currently engaged toShenae Drew )References
