The 1928 Australian Grand Prix was a race held at Phillip Island on March 31, 1928. The race had 29 entrants 17 starters. Officially the race was known as "100 Miles Road Race".
It was the first Australian Grand Prix but it wasn't held on the current grand prix circuit. It was a road circuit that ceased racing in 1935. The circuit used by cars at the time was approximately 6 miles per lap.
