The Black Metal Cult

The black metal cult is a cult formed in 2008 Caligo per quam Acerbus more commonly known as Toby. It is based around the ideals surrounding black metal and the belief that people should be more expressive without fear of others. It is currently based in Vancouver, BC, Canada.

History

Formed in July, 2008 by the current leader, Toby, Jeff (current second in command), and Seung who left the Cult shortly after its conception, it was originally intended to be a Black Metal fan club but the Cult took on a different meaning as the summer of 2008 progressed. As the members of the Cult changed, so did the Cult. It took on a deeper meaning. It was now a group of not only black metal fans, but also friends who got together to discuss varying topics. By October of 2008, the cult already had 9+ members (a large population considering the underground status of the Cult.).

Membership

Membership is restricted to those who meet certain requirements that are known only to those who are designated as scouts.Once a designated scout has spotted a possible member, that person is analyzed for almost a week or however long the observation takes. Once the scout has deemed the possible member 'worthy' of membership, the Cult Leader is approached andhe will make the final decision. If the Cult Leader has deemed the person to be acceptable, he will approach the person giving only the slightest hints as to what he might commit to. If the person agrees, then he is assigned his unit and referred to the leader of that unit who will complete his basic training. Once the basic training is complete, the member is asked whether he is willing to become a full member of the Cult. If the person agrees to join, he is given the rank of Apprentice and is now a full member in the Cult.This technique is effective as of Thursday October 9th, 2008 as the official recruitment method.

Ranks and Organization

The current system of ranks is as follows:-Apprentice--Minion--Master/Master of a Beast--Order of the Six--Underlord--Supreme-(Note: No rank insignias have been issued as of yet.)The Cult is organized in the following manner.There are four units which are known as Beasts.Each beast is a letter.H, A, T, EThe patch of the beast that a member is assigned to is attached to the right arm of the uniform.The master of beast may issue a special logo for his beast but it must be approved by the Supreme and provided by the master himself.Each beast requires a minimum of two members.

Education Members of the Cult are offered many forms of in-cult courses to help further their knowledge of varying topics.A few examples of what is offered:-Black Metal knowledge-Swordsmanship-Marksmanship-Physical Fitness-Wrestling After completion of a course, the graduate will receive a small patch to wear on the right side of their uniform. The patch varies depending on the level of education in that course.

The cult holds meets every week depending on the weather.
