"Hordes of Chaos" is the forthcoming album by German thrash metal band Kreator, to be released in 2009 by Steamhammer/SPV. It will be their 12th studio album. It has been described as their most organic album to date due to the fact that, barring vocals, guitar solos and some melodies, the album was recorded in a live setting with no overdubs. Frontman Mille Petrozza noted that this is the first time they have recorded an album this way since "Pleasure to Kill" in 1986. The album will be released in three different formats. The standard edition will be issued in a jewel case and will feature the 10 album tracks. A deluxe edition will feature a bonus DVD with a making of the album documentary, two live videos and a promo video for the title track. An ultra deluxe edition will include a Kreator shirt, an extended version of the bonus DVD and a book. The LP version of the album will have different artwork to all other editions.
