Electronically stored information is nothing but the information which is stored ellectronically, which is processed for running a business or other purpose. The processes are modification, deletion, processing the data, data alteration.

The US government has made some changes for Electronically stored Informations in FRCP rules 2006. All the organisation handling the inforamtion electronically must comply with those rules In case if any activities are reported against them which will be helpful in civil proceedings for law enforcements.
