Gameplay

The game features nine songs, and seven playable characters designed for Western audiences.

Unlike the previous "Pop'n Music" games, you can only choose 3 Key and 5 Key modes, as opposed to the usual 5 Key, 7 Key and 9 Key modes. Additionally, although the difficulty rating for each song is out of a maximum of 8, the hardest song in the game only has a difficulty level of 3, and players are unable to select any speed modifiers.

Multiplayer

"Beat'n Groovy" features online multiplayer; however, it is locked to 3 Key mode only.
