Uruguay . The sport was first introduced by British immigrants and expatriates in the 19th century. The two main clubs and arch-rivals based in the capital include Nacional founded in 1899, and Peñarol which was established in 1913, yet previously first founded as Central Uruguay Railway Cricket Club in1891 .International
Uruguay national football team have won a number of international tournaments. In theCopa América they are joint record holders with Argentina with 14 titles each. Urugauy won the firstFIFA World Cup in 1930 defeating fierce rivals Argentina in the final. In 1950 they won their second World Cup defeating Brazil in the Maracanã in the final game.
