Jeannie Hernandez is the CEO and co- Founder of Koolnfree.com, a website that she co-created with her then 14 year old daughter Stephanie. She is also developing a girl/womens jewelry line that will be unveiled by mid- 2009.
Early Life
Hernandez, was born Jannira I. Fuentes on
October 6 ,1972 in the city ofSan Juan ,Puerto Rico . Her parents Peter (a police officer), and Raquel (an accountant), divorced when Jeannie was only three years old. Jeannie and her mother then moved to the borough of theBronx inNew York State, where Hernandez lived until she was in High School.Jeannie did have a very imponent artistic talent in high school and joined the school's chorus and drama club, where she performed in school plays and also in different school sponsored concerts. She even performed at the
Lincoln Center of Performing Arts in NYC in the 80's. She has always said that she enjoyed the "artistic subjects" in high school much more than the "regular" academic subjects.Later Life
Jeannie Hernandez moved to Puerto Rico in the late 1980's where she graduated from
High School . She attended laUniversidad Interamericana de Puerto Rico , majoring inBiology and hoping to one day becoming adoctor . However, those plans were cut short when at just 19 she became pregnant and later had her only daughter Stephanie.As a single parent she moved to
Florida , where she currently resides, and there she met her future husband. Jeannie's biggest pride and joy will always be her daughter Stephanie, who in difference to Hernandez, enjoys math and science and is a straight A student at her school. Jeannie is an avid fan of the New YorkYankees and also of theOrlando Magic . And enjoysChinese andJapanese food. And is a huge fan ofMadonna since the singer began her career more than 20 years ago.Hernandez has been a member of the
ASPCA and theHumane Society since 1998, and is very involved in animal issues. She is a self proclaimed amateur photographer as wellShe resides in Florida with her husband Jose, daughter Stephanie and pets Benji the dog and three cats, Muguet des Bois, Susie and Sacha.

In the fall of 2007, and while watching a news report about
Ashley Qualls , the teenage millionaire who created the websitewhateverlife.com . Jeannie and her daughter decided that it would be a really good idea if her and her daughter partnered up to create awebsite that had music videos, layouts, and other goodies formyspace users and website owners.With Jeannie in the creative side of the site and Stephanie with all the technical aspects, the website has proven to be a success, landing thousands of hits a day. And a myspace page with hundreds of "friends". In an interview for a local newspaper when asked who was her inspiration Jeannie said: "First of all my daughter, she is what makes me go on even in the hardest times, and Ashley Qualls, because, although we have never met, she has shown me that anything is possible if you have the faith and work hard at it."Future Endeavors
Jeanne and Stephanie are working on a
jewelry line that will be unveiled by mid 2009, and will at first, be sold through their website.External Links
