Zootles are a form of zoobooks written especially for younger children. The Zootles magazine has short poems about the animals on the page. Charles R. Schroeder, D.V.M., Director Emeritus San Diego Zoo & San diego Wild Animal Park, was the consultant for all of the zoobooks and zootles along with other more specialized reserchers for each issue.
