Benguet State University

Benguet State University is a state university located in La Trinidad in Benguet province, Philippinescite web|url=http://www.bsu.edu.ph/content/university.php|title=Benguet State University Website|publisher=Benguet State University|language=English|accessdate=2008-10-09] . Its name is originally La Trinidad Agricultural High School, which was later changed to La Trinidad National Agricultural School (LTNAS). When the school was nationalized, its name was again changed to Mountain National Agricultural School (MNAS). It was soon converted into the Mountain National College (MNAC); Mountain Agricultural College ( MAC ); and eventually, the Mountain State Agricultural College (MSAC) in 1969 through RA 5923.

In January 12, 1986, the school was converted into a chartered state university by virtue of Presidential Decree 2010cite web|url=http://www.lawphil.net/statutes/presdecs/pd1986/pd_2010_1986.html|title=Presidential Decree 2010|date=January 12, 1986|publisher=Philippine Government|language=English|accessdate=2008-10-09] .
