- Snicklin
"Snicklin" is a progress-less idea of a cartoon. It uses elements of
surreal humor and non-fiction events; the idea was made up by Evan Wigton. Now, what most people ask Evan are what his name means; “snick” means “sharp”, and “lin” means to stop or to cease. “Sharp” frankly means “smart”, according to
American English . Therefore, “Snicklin” means “dim-witted” or “un-intelligent”. There have currently been no known releases of a book or a cartoon based on Snicklin.Origins
"Snicklin" was brought to life in childhood, when Evan was 10; he and his friend Josiah Byrne drew comics for a hobby. Evan made one based off of an infamous video game called
Dizzy the Adventurer ; he called it “The Great Book of Dizzy Episodes”, the characters featured Nad, (A vaguely dim-witted lizard who stands on his hind legs, also saying his name turns you stupid. The name “Nad” was possibly a misspelling of “Ned”.) Daisy, (Dizzy’s girlfriend.) Donna, (A formless black figure.) Vécia, (Donna’s husband.) and of course, Dizzy. One day, Evan started designing all these logos and characters for different comics, and one was named Snicklin, originally a comic strip series about your everyday stick-figure with a face.
A few months later, Evan started getting tired of the Dizzy comics and started a new one, choosing Snicklin from the bunch of comic ideas he came up with. During the time, Evan was extremely influenced by
Johnen Vasquez ’s drawing style, and decided to alter Snicklin’s design; he drew him with an octagon-shaped head. Thus, Snicklin was born.He decided to add other characters as well; Murray, Maurice, and Sin. Evan later on added a new character named Rice. (A creature that Snicklin picked up from another dimension.)
Later on, Evan started writing
fanfiction s about him. It became locally popular, and Evan started writing books andscreenplays for his neighbors, and eventually, his friends started asking him to write stories for them.Characters

nicklin and its Sense of Humor
"Snicklin" develops a unique sense of humor, such as describing scenes that use plots based off of
word salad s, as in one episode, King of the Hill; there is a pond, a jigglypuff is prancing down merrily until a bunch of tentacles come out, grab it, and pull it into the lake, meanwhile, on the other side of the pond, Rice is talking to his inner self in the form of the Kiwi Fairy. This is an example of the humor the Snicklin series uses. Another example goes like this; Murray and Maurice are getting engaged, while in the background, an explosion occurs, and two monkeys go flying up into the sky, and then land on a billboard right next to Murray and Maurice. And the most popular one; black-and-white ideas painted green are sleeping in rage. These are the series’ most common sense of humor. This is the main point of the series: major surreal humor. This was influenced from
Homestarrunner , a webtoon devised by Mike Chapman and Craig Zobel, this webtoon, too uses surreal gags to reach its humor goals.
