Joe DeGuardia

Joe DeGuardia, born July 4th, 1963 in the Bronx, NY is the President and CEO of Joe DeGuardia's Star Boxing.

While DeGuardia was pursuing his boxing career, he simultaneously was studying law at Hofstra Law School, where he went on to graduate at the top of his class. Upon graduation from Hofstra DeGuardia went on to work for the District Attorney’s office. After his success in the District Attorney’s office, DeGuardia founded the law firm that bears his name. The Law Offices of Joseph M. DeGuardia is a highly regarded, successful, Bronx-based law practice that has been repeatedly recognized for its exemplary service. DeGuardia has also been successful in professional boxing as he is the founder and CEO of Joe DeGuardia’s Star Boxing. Along with owning and operating his law firm and promotional company, DeGuardia also was instrumental in the success of the longstanding gym, the Morris Park Boxing Club. DeGuardia practically grew up in the gym and since taking over the reigns from his father he has made it one of the busiest boxing gyms in New York. Today, he exclusively promotes numerous boxers and boxing events, and has co-promoted with all the other major promoters. Under Joe's guidance, Star has brought back the atmosphere of the famed "Golden Age" of boxing in New York. DeGuardia has continued to work with and develop a number of very exciting world champions, world rated contenders and young prospects. DeGuardia graduated from Fordham University in the Bronx in 1986 (BA). He received his law degree from Hofstra Law (JD), graduating in 1989.
