South Portland High School

South Portland High School is a secondary school located in South Portland, Maine. It started in what is now Mahoney Middle school and was moved to current campus. The School is waiting on plans for a new school, since budget was voted down in 2007.

Mascot

South Portland High School is host to their mascot the Red Riot. He stands for the school's pride, sportsmanship, ambition, and potential.

Extracurricular activities include the following:Spanish Club, French Club, Latin Club, ASL Club, Chinese Club, Debate Team, Yearbook, Marching-band, Interact,Robotics Team, Wind Ensemble, Jazz Band, Band, Chorus, Chamber Singers, Student Government, Amnesty International, Riot Reader Newspaper, Math Team, Break Dance Club, H.E.M.A., Key Club, Musical, Tennis, Cheering, Golf, Lacrosse, Track, Baseball, Softball, Football, Field Hockey, Hockey, Soccer, Indoor Track, Swimming/Diving.

Coffee House

The Coffee House is an annual talent show hosted by the high school for the students. Students and teachers put on acts and play live music in a variety of styles, similar to a talent show. The show is popular amongst students and was started in 2006.

Film Festival

With South Portland's enrollment in movies, the young movie makers decided to host the first annual film festival. With free food, and only a donation box. Anyone is welcome to come and watch the schools local talent.
