Fritz Kaiser (*
1955 in Mauren,Liechtenstein ) is a wealth management entrepreneur, investor und philanthropist from the Principality of Liechtenstein. He is married to Birgit and has four children. He is co-founder and executive chairman of the Kaiser Ritter Partner Group, a wealth management firm that provides family office and asset management services to private wealth owners and their advisors. The group employs a total of 300 staff and has offices in Vaduz, Liechtenstein and Zollikon/Zurich, Switzerland. Companies in the group include the Präsidial-Anstalt, a leading Liechtenstein trust services company founded in 1931; the Kaiser Ritter Privatbank; and subsidiaries specialising in trust services, fund administration, portfolio management, investment controlling and IT services. Kaiser Ritter Partner is the result of a merger in 2006 between the Fritz Kaiser Group and the Ritter & Partner Holding. Today, its companies collectively represent one of the leading forces in wealth management in the Principality of Liechtenstein.Biography
Fritz Kaiser completed a commerce degree (Handelsakademie) in Feldkirch, Austria, while pursuing a sporting career as Judoka. After participating in the 1976 Olympic Games in Montreal, he began his business career in 1977 at Präsidial-Anstalt, one of the leading trust firms in Liechtenstein. In 1982 he established his own business providing wealth management services to private wealth owners, entrepreneurs and internationally famous personalities from the worlds of sport and art. In 1990, Fritz Kaiser purchased the credit card company Diners Club (Switzerland and Liechtenstein) and served as a member of the Diners Club International Strategic Council at its licensor Citibank. In 1999 he sold the company to Citibank. In the mid ’90s, Fritz Kaiser became co-owner of the Swiss Formula One racing team Red Bull Sauber, of which he was chairman from 1997-1999. During his chairmanship he secured the Malaysian petroleum company PETRONAS as main sponsor and developed the engine partnership with Ferrari. In 1999 he sold his share in the team to his partners in the team Peter Sauber und Dietrich Mateschitz (Red Bull). Fritz Kaiser is an active advocate for the development of Liechtenstein’s financial centre as an internationally-recognised wealth management competence centre for tax-compliant clients. In early 2008 he was appointed by the Princely Government as an advisory board member of the initiative “Futuro”, the steering committee of the Principality for the future of its financial centre.
Personal Activities
In 2004 Fritz Kaiser founded the Private Wealth Council, an independent, international forum bringing together private wealth owners, experts and thought leaders from across the world to address issues pertaining to the responsible use of private wealth. Since 2008, the Private Wealth Council has published the findings of its work in its international publication “Responsible Wealth Review”.
Fritz Kaiser is co-founder and trustee of the Mentor Foundation, a drug-prevention organisation for children initiated by the UN at its 1994 General Assembly in Geneva. The Foundation’s patron is Queen Silvia of Sweden. Fritz Kaiser served as its chairman from 2001-2004.
Fritz Kaiser is a member of the World Economic Forum (WEF). He is also an avid collector of contemporary art and established the virtual museum “88 Mocca – The Museum of Chinese Contemporary Art on the web”.
