Kenneth (Ken) Olisa (born 1951) is a British businessman.
Olisa attained an MA in Natural, Social & Political and Management Sciences from
Cambridge University (Fitzwilliam College ).After 7 years at IBM(UK) he spent 12 years with
Wang Laboratories where he ran worldwide marketing from Lowell, MA before returning to Brussels to head operations in EAME.In 1992 he founded technology merchant bank Interregnum which made its IPO on London's AIM exchange in 2000.
Today he leads boutique tech merchant bank - Restoration Partners based in London.
Ken serves on the boards of
Thomson Reuters ,Eurasian Natural Resources Corporation (ENRC)and Open Text.He is Chairman of
Thames Reach a charity focused on ending street homelessness in London by 2012. He is a Warden of theWorshipful Company of Information Technologists , a Vice President of theBritish Computer Society and a member of the UK Government'sWomen's Enterprise Task Force. Ken was an inaugural member of the
Postal Services Commission from 2000 to 2004 and a Governor of thePeabody Trust for a decade until 2007.He was named one of the UK's ten most influential black businessmen in the 2008 Power List.
