Ganga Sharan Singh (Sinha)

Eminent nationalist, freedom fighter and litterateur Ganga Sharan Singh (Sinha) was a member of the Upper House of Parliament for three terms (1956-62, 1962-68 and then nominated in 1968-1974). The Kedriya Hindi Sansthan, Agra has instituted an award in his honour. The government of Bihar has instituted an award for literature in his name. He worked relentlessly for the promotion of Hindi as a National Language.
