Xandrei Van Galen (born April 4, 1981) is a mixed martial arts fighter in the Philippines. Born and raised in Brazil, he has studied multiple forms of martial arts. He is the first and current Tournament Champion of the newly established mixed martial art tournament, XHFC X-treme Hardcore Fighting Championships Van Galen is considered an icon in Philippine MMA, being the first Filipino Champion in both tournaments.

Biography

Xandrei Van Galen earned his college degree in Industrial Engineering at the University of the Philippines. He first became aware of martial arts at the age of seven, dabbling first in Karate, Arnis and Wushu. His pursuit of martial arts excellence is guided by the principle ICE: Intensity, Credibility, and Effectivity. He is currently a Wushu training Instructor for the Philippine Wushu Federation.[citation needed]

Migration to the Philippines

At the age of 12 Van Galen's Family moved back to Philippines, at that time martial arts was less common there. Van Galen was a part of his high school soccer team and was an all Star varsity in Ateneo De Manila.[citation needed]

International Fights

Van Galen was successful in his first international fight as he debut on ZST defeating Fung Huei with a 1st round knouckout. He is now training under Brandon Vera in preparation for his next fight. He is currently sponsored by Gold's Gym.
