Alan Baverman clerked for U.S. District Court Judge Harold L. Murphy from 1981 to 1983 before going to work for attorney Mark J. Kadish in 1983. After becoming a magistrate judge, and at the request of Mark Kadish, Alan Baverman went to work for Georgia State University under the supervision of Mark J. Kadish.
