*NATO Movement Coordination Centre Europe. From 1 July 2007 Eindhoven is the location of the new
NATO Movement Coordination Centre Europe, a fusion of the former European Airlift Centre (EAC) and the Sealift Coordination Centre (SCC). The founding MCCE countries are: Belgium, Canada, Denmark, France, Germany, Hungary, Italy, Latvia, The Netherlands, Norway, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Turkey and United Kingdom. The Centre is staffed by 30 military and civilians personnel from the participating countries. In July 2008 RTV Oost, a regional Dutch TV station, reported that the Dutch government is investigating the possibility of moving of military flights from Eindhoven Airport to
Enschede Airport Twente , a former airforce base that currently sees little use. The possible move would involve the 334 and 336 Squadrons currently stationed at Eindhoven to make more room there for civilian flights and to keep Twente open as a military airbase.External links
