- Belá Ervin Graf und Freiherr von Bothmer zu Schwegerhoff
Belá Graf und Freiherr von Bothmer zu Schwegerhoff was born in Szöllös-Vég-Ardó, Hungary on October 14, 1857. His parents were Carl Alexander Friedrich Graf und Freiherr von Bothmer zu Schwegerhoff and his mother was Rosa von Szabó de Sepsi-Szant-György. She died in 1861. He was one of six children.
He served as cadet-Wachmeister, lieutenant and first lieutenant in the 5th k. u. k. Uhlanen Regiment, and then was transferred to the Royal Hungarian Honvéd-Kavallerie. He earned the rank of Rittmeister on November 1, 1889, then to Major on November 1, 1897, and then on May 1, 1901 he was made a lieutenant colonel. In 1903 he was appointed as commander of the 8th Honvéd-Hussars Regiment and then later was transferred in 1907 as a regiment commander of the 10th Honvéd-Hussars Regiment. His younger brother, Arpád Albert Rudolf Graf und Freiherr von Bothmer zu Schwegerhoff became the Field Marshall of the Royal Hungarian Army.
He married Mariska Jankovich de Jeszenicze in Rácz-Almás on June 20, 1885, and then later married his second wife, Martha Szontagh de Igló in Budapest on September 20 1898. It appears that he did not have any children with either of his wives. He died in Halmi on December 26,1940.
