Darren "D - Life" Lighty is a well rounded and experienced African American record producer/song writer. Best known for his collaborations with KayGee (formerly DJ for Naughty by Nature and Edward "DJ Eddie F." Ferrell (co-founder, partner, and DJ of the Uptown Records rap group Heavy D & the Boyz.

Darren Lighty has worked with artists such as Donell Jones, Jaheim, Next, Luther Vandross, LL Cool J, Queen Latifah, Nas, Mario, and many more.
