Founded in February 2008, the company is owned and operated by Frank Scaglione.

The name "Westown" comes from the original street the Corporate Offices were located, Westown Parkway in West Des Moines, Iowa. As of September 2008, the company now has a mailing address in Waukee, Iowa.

Prior to founding Westown Advertising Media, Mr. Scaglione held the position of Vice President of Marketing and Communications for West Central Auto Auction, Inc. Mr. Scaglione also held the positions of Marketing and Promotions Manager, as well as Chief of Security with the company.

Westown Advertising Media, Inc. was appointed a member of the Waukee Chamber of Commerce in September, 2008.

Westown Advertising Media, Inc. volunteers time and equipment to produce and direct video production services for the Waukee Community School District.
