Cape Hoppner is a land point on Melville Island,
Northwest Territories ,Canada . It juts into the southern section ofLiddon Gulf across fromBarry Bay .The cape was named in honor of the
Royal Navy officer andArctic explorer Henry Parkyns Hoppner .
