Sian Reese-Williams (born 1982) is a British television actress, best known for playing Genesis Walker in "Emmerdale". She is currently appearing in Yorkshire-based soap opera Emmerdale playing Genesis Walker the long lost daughter of Shadrach Dingle. She joined the soap in March 2008.

Character creation and development

Gennie Walker was created by series producer Kathleen Beadles, although by the time her first episode aired on 1 April 2008, Anita Turner had taken over from Beadles. Theatre actress Sian Reese-Williams was cast in the role and started filming in the week beginning 3 March 2008. The character was described as "not your typical Dingle" and Turner said that "we’ve got some exciting storylines planned" with Gennie in "for a real culture shock when she meets her biological family".cite news|url= http://www.digitalspy.co.uk/soaps/a90596/emmerdale-welcomes-genesis-dingle.html |title='Emmerdale' welcomes Genesis Dingle|first=Kris|last=Green|publisher=Digital Spy|date=3 March 2008]

In an interview in May 2008, Anita Turner said that "the character [Gennie] could be brilliant and it's about her finding that inner Dingle".
