Kenneth Dobson

Kenneth Dobson

Kenneth Dobson (August 28, 1900 — March 6, 1960) was an English cricketer. He was a right-handed batsman and a right-arm medium-pace bowler. Dobson was born in Barrow-on-Trent and died in Torquay.

Dobson's first County Cricket matches came in May 1920, when he represented Derbyshire in three games, the first of which came against Yorkshire. Dobson was stumped for a duck in his first innings and bowled by two-time Test cricketer Abe Waddington in the second. He remained out of the team for five years, but earned a surprise recall for Warwickshire during the 1925 season, for whom he played two matches.

Dobson was a tailend batsman and an occasional bowler. He also played on one occasion for Staffordshire. Dobson's uncles John and William Eadie also represented Derbyshire in County Cricket.
